That makes sense. I see the same trend with other things too, like mocktails, adaptogens, and CBD teas. People are just trying to take care of themselves without the side effects of alcohol or heavy meds. Edibles are probably the next step in that shift.
I think that’s exactly where it’s headed. A lot of people want alternatives to alcohol or prescription sleep meds, and edibles fit into that gap. They can be low-dose, predictable, and easy to add to a nighttime ritual. I’ve been trying them occasionally to wind down and it feels more natural than drinking. I even found some focused on wellness angles like relax before bed without alcohol and it made sense to me how they position it — not just as a high, but as part of a routine. The more people look for balance and healthier habits, the more edibles are going to move into that wellness space.
